Benefits of Topical Exosomes
Cellular Communication
Exosomes contain signaling molecules that can communicate with skin cells, promoting cellular communication and potentially enhancing various skin functions, such as collagen production, hydration, and repair.
Regenerative
Properties
Exosomes derived from stem cells or other regenerative cell sources possess regenerative properties that help improve skin texture, firmness, and elasticity. They also aid in wound healing and reducing the appearance of scars.
Enhanced Delivery
of Active Ingredients
Exosomes serve as natural delivery vehicles for other skincare ingredients, improving penetration into the skin and enhancing their efficacy. This is useful for delivering ingredients with large molecular sizes or poor skin penetration properties.
Antioxidant
Activity
Exosomes contain antioxidants that help neutralize free radicals, which are harmful molecules that can contribute to skin aging and damage. By reducing oxidative stress, exosomes help improve overall skin health and appearance.
Anti-inflammatory
Effects
Research suggests that exosomes have anti-inflammatory effects, which is be beneficial for soothing irritated or inflamed skin conditions such as acne, eczema, or rosacea.
Customization
Exosomes can be isolated from various cell types, allowing for customization based on specific skincare needs. For example, exosomes derived from mesenchymal stem cells have different properties compared to those from fibroblasts, offering versatility in skincare formulations.
Biocompatibility
Exosomes are naturally occurring vesicles in the body, making them biocompatible and less likely to cause adverse reactions or sensitivities compared to some synthetic skincare ingredients.
Personalized
Skincare
Exosomes allow providers to develop personalized skincare products tailored to individual skin concerns by utilizing exosomes.

WHAT IS TIXEL SKIN RESURFACING?
Tixel is a non-invasive skin resurfacing treatment that uses a device to deliver thermal energy to the skin. The device contains a small grid of titanium micro-pyramids, which are heated to a high temperature and then briefly applied to the skin.
When the micro-pyramids come into contact with the skin, they create tiny channels in the surface of the skin, allowing for the delivery of thermal energy to the underlying tissues. This thermal energy causes controlled damage to the skin, triggering the body’s natural healing response and stimulating the production of collagen and elastin.
The result is smoother, more youthful-looking skin with improved texture and tone. Tixel is an effective treatment for a variety of skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, sun damage, and hyperpigmentation.
HOW TIXEL WORKS
Tixel skin resurfacing works by delivering thermal energy to the skin using a device that contains a small grid of titanium micro-pyramids. When the micro-pyramids come into contact with the skin, they create tiny channels or microchannels in the surface of the skin. These microchannels allow for the delivery of thermal energy to the underlying tissues of the skin.
The thermal energy delivered by the Tixel device causes controlled damage to the skin, which triggers the body’s natural healing response. The body responds to this damage by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin fibers in the treated area, which helps to improve the texture and tone of the skin. Collagen and elastin are proteins that provide structure and elasticity to the skin.
Tixel skin resurfacing can be customized to meet the specific needs of each patient. The device has multiple settings that allow the treatment to be adjusted based on the patient’s skin type and the severity of their skin concerns. The depth of the microchannels can be adjusted to target specific layers of the skin, which allows for more precise and effective treatment.
IS TIXEL A LASER?
Tixel is not a laser, and it doesn’t use needles. One of the advantages of tixel skin resurfacing is that it is less invasive than other skin resurfacing treatments, such as traditional laser resurfacing.
This means that there is less downtime and fewer potential side effects. Additionally, tixel skin resurfacing is suitable for all skin types, making it a versatile treatment option for many people.
Unlike traditional laser resurfacing treatments, Tixel does not rely on light or radiation to create the controlled damage to the skin. Instead, Tixel uses thermal energy, which is delivered directly to the skin through the micro-pyramids. This makes Tixel a safer and more precise option for skin resurfacing.
Overall, tixel skin resurfacing is a safe and effective way to achieve smoother, more youthful-looking skin without the need for surgery or extensive downtime.
BENEFITS OF TIXEL SKIN RESURFACING
There are several benefits of Tixel skin resurfacing that make it a popular choice for many patients. Here are a few examples:
Improved Skin Texture and Tone: One of the primary benefits of Tixel skin resurfacing is its ability to improve the texture and tone of the skin. The controlled damage caused by the thermal energy delivered by the device stimulates the production of collagen and elastin fibers in the treated area, which helps to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, reduce the appearance of acne scars, and even out skin tone.
Minimal Downtime: Unlike traditional laser resurfacing treatments, Tixel skin resurfacing requires minimal downtime. Patients may experience some redness and mild swelling after the treatment, but this typically subsides within a few hours to a few days. This means that patients can return to their normal activities almost immediately after the treatment.
Non-Invasive: Tixel skin resurfacing is a non-invasive treatment, which means that it does not require any incisions or injections. This makes it a safe and effective option for patients who want to improve the appearance of their skin without undergoing surgery or other invasive procedures.
Versatile: Tixel skin resurfacing is suitable for all skin types, making it a versatile treatment option for many people. The device has multiple settings that can be adjusted based on the patient’s skin type and the severity of their skin concerns, which allows for more precise and effective treatment.
Affordable: Compared to other skin resurfacing treatments, such as traditional laser resurfacing, Tixel skin resurfacing is generally more affordable. This makes it a great option for patients who want to achieve smoother, more youthful-looking skin without breaking the bank.
WHAT CAN TIXEL TREAT?
Tixel skin resurfacing can be used to treat a wide range of skin concerns, including:
Fine Lines and Wrinkles: Tixel can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin fibers in the skin. This can result in smoother, more youthful-looking skin.
Acne Scars: Tixel can be effective in reducing the appearance of acne scars by promoting collagen production and improving skin texture.
Sun Damage: Sun damage can cause uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, and other visible signs of aging. Tixel can help improve the appearance of sun-damaged skin by promoting the growth of new, healthy skin cells.
Enlarged Pores: Tixel can also be used to reduce the appearance of enlarged pores by stimulating collagen production and tightening the skin.
Stretch Marks: Tixel can help improve the appearance of stretch marks by promoting collagen production and improving skin texture.
Uneven Skin Texture and Tone: Tixel can be effective in improving the overall texture and tone of the skin by promoting collagen production and reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and other imperfections.
TIXEL SKIN RESURFACING FAQ
In this FAQ section, we will answer some common questions about Tixel Skin Resurfacing. Whether you’re considering Tixel or just curious about the procedure, this section will provide you with valuable information to help you make an informed decision.
Please reach us at [email protected] if you cannot find an answer to your question.
How does Tixel Skin Resurfacing work?
Over the 10 weeks following your series of three treatments, new collagen and elastin are produced by your dermal layer. This will improve wrinkles, tighten up areas of laxity, shrink pores, minimize discoloration, and improve any scarring of the skin. Each treatment should be spaced about one month apart, but this can flex depending on your schedule.
Does the Tixel procedure hurt?
We provide anaesthesia with numbing cream; it is very well tolerated by patients and most report minimal discomfort.
How long does the treatment take?
Including paperwork, numbing, and the procedure, it takes about one hour.
How long will Tixel's results last?
You will not lose the new collagen and elastin that is produced, but you will continue to age, so a series of three is recommended once per year.
What is recovery or downtime like?
We can adjust the settings according to your desired results and downtime. At low settings, there is virtually no downtime except for mild redness the first couple of days. At higher settings, you can be red and swollen for a few days, followed by some flaking and microbronzing of your skin. Most people immediately return back to their normal activities. You will need to avoid excessive sun exposure for a week after your treatments. Don’t plan any big social events for one week after your procedure.
